Tamaulipas authorities reported that the five bodies found in the municipality of Reynosa may correspond to the missing members of the Fugitive Group.

The state government, through the Security Spokesperson's Office, reported that the investigation into the case led authorities to an area where the five bodies were found, which have not yet been fully identified.

It was last Sunday, May 25, when four members of Grupo Fugitivo, along with their manager, were reported missing in the municipality of Reynosa. That day, they were scheduled to perform at a private party held at a venue called La Palapa del Prado, located in the Riberas neighborhood of Rancho Grande.

That same day, three posts were made on the group's Facebook page, in which the five members are seen dressed in black. One of them reads: "See you in a bit in McAllen, Texas. Pure Fugitive, crossing borders."

The missing persons with wanted records are: Víctor Manuel Garza Cervantes (21), Francisco Xavier Vázquez Osorio (20), Nemesio Antonio Durán Rodríguez (40), José Francisco Morales Martínez (23), and Livian Edyberto Solís de la Rosa (27).

Days later, the discovery of the van in which the musicians were traveling was reported, located in the La Cañada neighborhood of Reynosa.
